Novel DXM Extraction TEK

SWIM means Someone Who Isn't Me and SWIY is Someone Who Isnt You. Dont want to self incriminate, even though all this hypothetically happened in a dream.
Materials:
-NaOH (100% Lye)
-CVS brand Tussin Max Strength (Get the one that has 15 mg DXM per 5 ml, and only DXM, not even guaifenesin is allowed in this TEK. Get as much as you want but know that SWIW will be working with small quantities at a time and combining all of the naptha in the end.)
-dH20 (SWIM is trying to keep as many impurities out of the final product as possible, so no tap water)
-VM&P Naptha (Place a drop on a piece of mirror or a piece of glass and wait to evaporate, if there is a residue left behind, scrap the naptha and get yourself a purer brand.
-Seperatory funnel (Or you could cut out the bottom of a smart water bottle and poke a small hole in the cap and use that as a slow funnel. Smart water bottles are big so you can hold more product in it)
-Latex Gloves (Remember that we are working with NaOH, it will burn you! So play it safe and use gloves)
Procedure:
-Pour out 8 oz of DXM Syrup into an empty 40 oz beer bottle (Olde English prefered. ) (***Honestly container sizes dont matter but SWIM finds the bigger a container, the more room to work***)
-Pour dH20 into another empty 40 oz beer bottle, at the same level as the syrup goes to in the other bottle. Add approximately 8 grams of NaOH, close, shake, open to release pressure, and keep repeating until all of the NaOH has gone into solution. Now this gets hot so be careful and dont spill.
-Once cooled down, add the NaOH solution to Syrup bottle, and SWIY will immediately notice a white precipitate form. That is the DXM being converted to freebase. Shake until the Basic syrup solution goes back to clear.
-Once transparent red again, add about a half inch layer of Naptha to the solution, and shake the hell out of it for 5 minutes. Clean out the 40 oz bottle that the NaOH solution was in with dH20 and place Smart water funnel on top of the 40 oz bottle with the cap facing downwards. Dump entire contents of based syrup/naptha into the smart water bottle and let syrup drain out the bottom. (If SWIY got the syrup mention in SWIM's materials list, the syrup shouldnt be too gooey or runny, it should be very low viscosity and flow through the tiny hole with ease) This step takes the longest. Repeat this for the rest of SWIY's bottles of syrup.
-As soon as SWIY has all the naptha extractions, combine them in one 40 oz bottle and add an equal amount of dH20 in the bottle. Shake the hell out of it for a few minutes. Naptha is less dense than water so it will float on top. Again, use SWIY's diy funnel and separate the two layers. Do not discard the aqueous layer until the experiment is done. Keep the naptha layer, and repeat this water wash 4 more times to ensure no NaOH or other water soluble impurities got into SWIY's solution.
-Pour out naptha into a pyrex, glass baking dish and let it evaporate, and crystallize. Scrape the DXM crystals and SWIY now has DXM freebase.
