Step 1: Grind the desired amount of seeds in a coffee grinder or with a mortar and pestle. (1 dose = 4 to 12 seeds)
Step 2: Soak the ground seeds in cold, distilled water for around 24 hours.
- You must use distilled water because it does not contain any other chemicals.
- It is best to do this step in low light or no light at all. It can be left to sit in the refrigerator for the 24 hours, but make sure to wrap the container in aluminum foil to keep out the light when the refrigerator door opens.
- During this step, a few drops of essential oil of peppermint may also be added to the solution. Some users report that this helps eliminate some of the nausea during the experience by converting the LSA to LSH. Some users also report adding a few drops of Everclear (190 proof alcohol) along with the essential oil of peppermint.
Step 3: Strain out the ground seed mush with a non-bleached coffee filter and discard it. The "tea" is ready to consume.
